Alexis Batten Receives 2023 CMCBA Professionalism Award

Archer partner, Alexis B. Batten, has received the Cape May County Bar Association (CMCBA) 2023 Professionalism Award. Alexis was honored by the CMCBA at the Association’s annual awards dinner, held on October 25 at Rubia in Stone Harbor. The award is given in recognition of an attorney’s commitment to the highest ideals of the profession in addition to career achievement and service to the bar and community. Recipients are a highly respected lawyer who exemplifies the very best of the profession. Alexis is a Past-President of the CMCBA and currently serves as Vice President of the Cape May County Bar Foundation.

In her public finance practice, Alexis represents governmental issuers and underwriters in all aspects of public finance, including compliance with all federal and state laws. With 15 years’ experience, she has served as bond counsel and underwriter’s counsel in connection with numerous financings completed by municipalities, counties, school districts, public agencies and authorities throughout New Jersey.

Truly loving her area of law, Alexis is passionate about her clients’ goals and dedicated to achieving them. She is a frequent lecturer on public finance matters for various business organizations and bar associations.

Alexis received her J.D. from Villanova University Charles Widger School of Law and her B.A. from Middlebury College. She and her family reside in Cape May County, where Alexis is an active member of the community, including serving as a member of the Avalon Board of Education.
